Patient safety and ward error reporting

Little research and practical efforts have been undertaken in public sector hospitals in Pakistan to promote error reporting. Survey results show that more than 80% of nurses felt that their ward did not respond to reported errors. For error reporting a more systematic and stringent manner needs to be introduced.

Aims and scope

Safety in Health disseminates research related to quality and safety in healthcare. The journal encompasses global trends in healthcare affecting quality and safety, such as patient safety, training and simulation, health economics, quality and process management, as well as critical incidents including possible solutions and the legal or regulatory aspects.
